Wendy's targets Mexican customers amid mass U.S. store closures

Wendy's is set to close hundreds of U.S. locations due to declining domestic sales, signaling significant challenges in its primary market. While the company aims to offset these losses through accelerated expansion in Mexico, driven by rising consumer demand and brand recognition there, the substantial domestic closures suggest underlying issues with its U.S. business model and operational execution. Investors should monitor the pace and success of the international growth strategy against the backdrop of continued U.S. headwinds.
