Cal-Maine, Others Poised to Settle DOJ Egg Pricing Probe

Cal-Maine Foods Inc. is reportedly nearing a settlement with the US Justice Department and a coalition of states regarding an investigation into alleged illegal price coordination in the egg market. While specific terms are undisclosed, the resolution of this probe, which has cast a shadow over the company's operations and investor sentiment, is seen as a significant positive development. Cal-Maine’s stock falls as DOJ reportedly weighs bigger crackdown on major egg producers
